Marci was escorted from earth to Glory by angel on July 18, 2009 after a month-long illness under the care of the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA
Marci Chinere Hickson-Dingle, 25, of Willingboro, N.J. was born in Stratford, N.J on September 26, 1983. During her childhood and teenage years she was a resident of Willingboro, NJ. Marci enjoyed a lifelong affair with academics: at McGinley Elementary, she was an honor roll student attending accelerated classes; she was enrolled in the PATS Program at Hawthorne School; and while attending Memorial Jr High School she was an outstanding student enrolled in accelerated classes where she achieved academic excellence.

In addition to Marci’s studies, she joined the Girls Scouts USA – Burlington County, Troop 408 and Girls in Action of Delaware Valley Baptist Church. Marci was active athletically as well, playing soccer on a local team. Marci loved ballet and African Dance and joined Afro-One dance, Drama & Drum Theatre, Inc. Her interests were diverse and her talent was exemplified as part of the Willingboro High School Band, where she diligently played her beloved flute. Marci’s creativity led her to begin a T-Shirt line called “Covered?”
Marci Chinere Hickson-Dingle was reborn as she began her journey with the lord at New Life Fellowship Church. She was baptized on November 15, 1992. She later joined Abundant Life Church in Edgewater Park, NJ where she was part of “True Love Waits Ministry”(an international-Christian group that promotes sexual abstinence outside of marriage for teenagers and college students). Marci was also a part of the Willingboro Recreation Department Teen Mentoring Program – “Ladies of Distinction” and “Men About Business”.
Marci then became reacquainted with a lifelong friend, her soul mate and love of her life, Joseph Dingle. Marci and Joseph were married on August 23, 2008. She joined her husband as a member of Christ Community Evangelistic Church in Willingboro, N.J. Both Marci and Joseph were ordained Youth Ministers simultaneously in May 2009.
She graduated from Willingboro High School in Willingboro, N.J. She persevered despite being diagnosed at 17 with Takayasu Artieritus, a life-threatening long term illness. Marci worked tirelessly to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology through attending Burlington County College Where she received her Associates and then transferred to Stockton State College in Pomona, N.J. Marci’s goal was to pursue a career in social work working with young girls and helping single mothers.
Beloved daughter of Gerald & Brunetta Hickson of Willingboro, N.J, she is survived by her loving husband Joseph C Dingle; her parents and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Sandra Dingle. She is also survived by two sisters, Donna Hickson-Muphy of Bear, D.E. and Nenette Hickson-Murphy of Wilmington, D.E; two brothers, Marvin R Newsome of Philadelphia, P.A. and Gerald Hickson, II of Lindenwold, N.J; grandparents, Zona Petty-Massey of Chesapeake, V.A. and Willia Mae Thompson of Bridgeton, N.J; five nieces and three nephews and a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
